Paige Toon!

This evening I went with One More Page's Amanda to meet Paige Toon at Watermark Books in Kings Cross Station. I was very excited to meet her and get a copy of her new book The Longest Holiday signed.

Whilst we waited in the queue to meet her, we were given bubbly and promised cupcakes. It was a very popular event with a pretty long queue, she was still busy signing with lost of people still waiting to get in an hour after she started. It was definitely worth the wait though. She was lovely and wrote a nice message inside my copy of the book. The cupcakes smelt lovely too (even though I was very good and didn't have one).

I wanted to go to this event because I always love meeting authors. The other reason was, although I own a few Paige Toon novels, I am still yet to actually open one up-shocking I know! She comes highly recommended to me by so many people, so I decided that meeting her this evening would mark the beginning of a Paige Toon marathon. Having recently binged on several Jane Costello novels, I'm going to read all the Paige Toon novels I have sitting on my shelves. unconventionally I'm going to start with her most recent one, and I suppose, work backwards from there! I'm quite looking forward to it, so if anybody's looking for me...I'll be busy reading a Paige Toon novel!
